Hola! It's so true that when you're feeling and doing your best that Satan starts throwing more rocks your way. This week was definitely full of rocks - but it was also full of many tender mercies and blessings as well. I love that everytime I start feeling even the slightest bit down that I have something happen that just reminds me of the love the Lord has for me and that I am not here in Veracruz alone, that He is with me every step of the way helping lift me up.
The biggest rock this week was Josefa. Josefa is the grandmother of Guadalupe. Guadalupe is 16 years old is the niece of Ruperto who was baptized last week. Guadalupe was supposed to be baptized yesterday and was so excited!..but Josefa threatened Guadalupe's mom that if Guadalupe was baptized that she would kick them all out of her house. It's defintely a big rock but as missionaries we never give up faith! Hopefully she can be baptized this week. Guadalupe is so determined and won't take no for an answer from her Grandma and her mom.
One of the biggest blessings this week was that Javier who was baptized last week was offered a lot more money at his job if he could work on Sundays and he told them that he couldn't because he has new standards and that Sunday and Church is more important to him. I know the Lord has something even greater in store for them. It was just such a testament to me of his commitment and dedication to his baptismal convenant that he had made just days before.
Yesterday we had 4 confirmations in Sacrament meeting and Ruperto was the only one on time so he was confirmed before the sacrament and right after Emanuel and his family came in and so his grandma Latisia ran up to the front to have him be confirmed as well and then while that was happening Margarita and Javier with their little girls came in but the Bishopric didn't see them so after the sacrament they confirmed Emanuel and then the bishop´got up to talk and it was just a mess haha and on top of that there was also a baby that needed to be blessed haha but all four were confirmed and the baby was blessed and all was well! haha
Well I hope everyone has an amazing Easter this week!
