Transfers!
This week was a week of miracles! I am so amazed by how many things just fell into place. Granted, things also fell to pieces but the blessings were there in every moment. I am so grateful the blessings of the Lord that we can feel and see in every minute of every day if we are truly looking for them and being obedient to the commandments.
The biggest miracle of this week was Ivan. Ivan is an investigator that we've been teaching almost my whole time here in Nogales! I can't remember if I've talked about him in my emails but he has cancer. This week we visited him after about a week of not being able to see him and he is progressing so much! In his health, and especially spiritually. Wednesday he had another round of chemo so thursday we went to visit him. He was doing excellent! And he told us he knows know that the Book of Mormon is true. But that he still didn't feel well enough to go to church and sit in the uncomfortable seats. I told him I would go to his house and drag him and his couch to church if we had too! He told us he would do everything he could to go...Sunday in the morning we showed up to see how we was doing and his Mother-in-law told us he took a turn for the worst and that we wasn't going to be able to go. We left his house really defeated and headed to church. As the talks started I looked up and saw Ivan walk through the doors! It was the best feeling in the world! He only was able to stay the first hour but it was so amazing to see him walk in and sit down with his family!
Tomorrow we have transfers! And I'm headed to Orizaba! Just the next area over, but it'll be really great to be close to Nogales! I'm going to really miss it! But for Zone classes I'll still get to visit! haha And also because I just got called as a Sister-Training Leader so I may be able to do divisions with Hna Jensen here in Nogales! I am seriously going to miss her as my companion! These have been the best few weeks! But I'm also excited to work with Hna Zarate - my new companion. She is amazing! She's from Bolivia too which is awesome!
Bueno. Well that's all I have time for today! I hope everyone has a great week!
