Happy New Year!
This week was so great! Christmas in Mexico - For us missionaries was just a normal day. Except for the part where I got to talk to my family! The best 40 minutes of my day! The 24th we went to a big Christmas dinner that the District President put on. All the missionaries in the zone went except for 1 companionship. Even the senor missionary couple came - Hermano y Hermana Hollman. It was a great night - complete with Tacos (As we are in Mexico haha) Then Christmas we just did our normal routine!
This week we had the baptism of Victor. He's a 16 year old boy that has been faithful from the start. It was so great to be a part of his conversion process. This week was really rough for him. There is always a lot of opposition the week before their baptism and this week with it being Christmas it was even stronger. He had all his family there in his house being really negative and saying some pretty strong things - he almost gave in but then realized that this is not only what he wanted to do but what he needed to do. It was such a great moment to see him stick firm to what he knew was true. He even received bullying on Facebook - but told us that it didn't even matter and that in 2 years he's going on a mission! It's so amazing to be a part of the grand conversion process that people experience when they are truly prepared to receive it.
This week the camera adapter won't work so you'll have to wait another week more for my awesome christmas pictures! But thanks so much for the Christmas love and I hope you all have an amazing New Year-s! Remember that it is a perfect time to reflect and make new goals. To remember that we all have a great potential and that when we set goals, make plans and then ACT - God will help us achieve things we thought we never could.
Have a great week!
