Yesterday we brought Dulce and her brother to church with us. They are children of an investigator Mateo who we had to stop teaching because he wouldn't commit to live the Law of Chastity. His kids though are adorable and ALWAYS want to go to church so this week he agreed to let them go with us. It was so fun having them there and I know they enjoyed it. Also when we got to church the councilor to the bishop asked us "Who's first?" All of us missionaries got to talk in church with no preparation. But after all the lessons that we teach in any moment of the day a talk in church was no big deal haha Afterwards all the members came up and congradulated me on my spanish, that it is SO much better than when I gave a talk a few weeks ago. It's always nice to hear you're improving haha And then after sacrament meeting we were in the Gospel Principles class when one of the primary teachers came and grabbed us and asked us to teach the class. I honestly was so excited! I've been waiting 3 months to get the opportunity to go to primary and it was honestly a little blessing for me to be able to go and teach and do a little singing time with them. My calling before the mission definitely came in handy! We talked about missionary work and then learned "I want to be a missionary now!" It was so fun.
This week was also so great! We received SO many references from the members. It was so amazing to see the modivation that the Missionary Fireside was for them, everyone wants to be part of the obra misional! We've even had families asking us to come have Family Home Evenings in the homes and teach them how to use Preach My Gospel. :)
Tomorrow I'm headed to Orizaba which is an area about 2 hours away from Veracruz and it's also the coldest area in the mission which is SUCH a blessing. I'm definitely going to love the "cold" area compared to the crazy hot sun and humidity here on the port. But honestly I'm really sad. I never really realized just how hard it is going to be saying goodbye to the members, investigatores and especially those converts here. I have really come to love Costa Verde and it's seriously like my home. And I'm going to miss my companion and the other missionaries here Hermana Orta and Hermana Jensen so stinking much. They are honestly some of my best friends. But I also am so excited to go to a new area with a new companion (Hermana Cruz!)
One of the saddest parts about leaving this area is that I won't be able to see the beautiful Temple every week for district classes. We also got to study once in the temple waiting room before our district meeting and it was honestly the best personal and companion study I've ever had!
