Last weekly letter from the mission.Well, I don't have much more to say today than - SEE YOU SOON! I'll be getting home Wednesday night - And I want to invite all of you to come and see me Sunday when I report on my mission! I'm so excited to see all of you.
Being a missionary has been the greatest experience of my life. I am so grateful that I was called to this work and that I've been able to make it to the end. Every day has been a new lesson - and I know it is just the beginning! I am so excited to bring the mission a casa. This week was amazing - One of my highlights from this week: - A missionary activity with the youth of the stake - All of us missionaries in the Zone divided with the youth and went out to preach the gospel! In my group we had a rough time! We didn't find many that wanted much to do with us. But we did have two really amazing experiences: one kind old man that started crying when we started talking to him saying that God had truely sent us to talk to him in that day. And then after about an hour and a half of pure regectment and lots and lots of walking - I told the girls "Don't worry! We are going to find someone right now that will offer us water!" And they all skeptically kept following after me (My group had a few laman and lemuels haha) But we took not even five steps and I felt impressed to knock on a door. We knocked and they invited us in, we sang a hymn and then they offered us water. When the lady said "Do you girls want a glass of water?" All the girls looked straight at me with a face of "HOW DID YOU KNOW?" hahaha it was so great. I loved being part of this activity and seeing these girls grow to have a stronger testimony of missionary work and a stronger desire to prepare and serve the Lord. :) For the other highlights of my week - You'll have to talk to me later! For Thursday I should be available to tell you all about it ;) haha Love you all! Have a great week! Hermana Terry Well I couldn't see Hermana Citam like I prayed and hoped for - But God sent Hermana Ayala in my path and I got to see her! It's not over until...It's not over until it's over! And I'm still going strong! Even though everyone is trying to kill me! "You're going home next week!" "Aren't you so excited!" etc, etc... But I'm trying to enjoy it to the fullest, and work my hardest. This week we completed with our goals and even did MORE than our goals. And it was just an amazing week! One of the best parts of this week was yesterday when guess who came to visit me! Jordy from Orizaba!! One of my converts that got baptized in December! It was so great seeing him and seeing the progress he has made - He's preparing for the mission and even has the missionary purpose memorized!Nataniel passed the sacrament this week and he even has been accompaning us just about every day. I am so excited for these future missionaries!
Anyways - Not much more to report (Or such little time to report it...) But have a great week! Hermana Terry (Don't worry family, I've totally got the empanadas, tortillas thing down :) Hola!!Hello wonderful friends and Family! I hope you're all doing good! I'm doing great! This week was awesome - we kept working really hard and we saw grand blessings from doing it. I really have been able to trust in the Lord. In a moment this week when I felt a little lost I had these words come to my head - "Yo confio en ti - pero tu estas confiando en mi?"(I trust in you, but are you trusting in me?) It sounds better in Spanish. I am so grateful for the chance I've had to come to the mission and learn and grow every day. I know that I have a grand Potential and I am not even close to reaching it. I felt that way this week reading Mosiah 2;21. We have to do EVERYTHING in our power to show God the gratitud and love we have for Him. I also really learned this week that we are all children of God. He loves each and every one of us and even though we all lack so much - he is patient with us. He is always there to help. And before whatever calling or responsibility we have - before work, play or rest we are children of God and we should strive to live worthy of that title. This week was the baptism of Uriel! He is such an awesome kid! He was a reference we recieved from the Ward Mision Leader and then he told us - NO! Don't go - they are super rude! But we went anyways and when we visited Fransisca and her son Uriel - she reactivated and took her son and they haven't stopped going since. 5 weeks later - Uriel got baptized! Blessings from the Lord. Well I don't have more time! But I hope you're all doing great! Thanks for the Love and support! Hermana Terry (Enjoy this picture of me and a puppy haha) Familia Raigadas Velazquez! Nathanael - recieved the priesthood yesterday! And so did Jose Luis - future bishop! How did you spend your 4th of July? I spent mine washing up the sins from those who got baptized and walking through the "sacred grove" haha Hope you all had a great day! Notice that I even got my companion to wear red and blue! Go America! Uriel's baptism - I promise he's a happier kid than he looks in the picture! haha And I love this flower - never let anything stop you from growing and blooming into the flower God made you to be!
